Rebuttal Argument Paper
The enacted statutes regarding immigration have developed a heated debate regarding law application. In 2012, a federal judge approved the use of controversial rulings regarding the Arizona laws and regulations regarding immigrants. The controversial point is the enforcement of police having the right to question people who “they suspect” might be illegal immigrants. It is classified as the “Show me your paper” version of the Arizona immigration laws, which has become a controversial matter. However, the dimensions of the law coincide and contradict various regulations applied in other states, which generates the rationale of contradiction in the administration of immigration laws.
It can be concluded that Alabama has become a source of inspiration for the development of controversial immigration laws. The case in Arizona is a drop in the ocean compared to the scale of immigration laws in the US. New Mexico is a state the contradicts the immigration laws of Arizona, and it provides a means for illegal immigrants to manipulate stipulations of their residency in the US. This suggests that the variation in immigration laws provide the basis for immigrants to continue to enter the US and become legal citizens. With Equal Protection Clause, it is difficult to determine how some of the statutes will apply and abide by the statute in the constitution(Find US Law, “US Constitution: 5th and 14th Amendments”). In addition, the regulations do not factor in personal bias, and authorities will state that rational thought is implied in action.
