My question is: how did Modernism affect architecture and its development?, a questions that relates to the subject of History and the topic of Architecture. After 2 months of research I have found many different sources that have helped to understand much better my topic and to answer my question. I have valuated it each source in relation to its credibility and in relation to the information it holds. My sources hold a variety of claims that state a variety of points and data, such as the fact that modernist architects emphasized their work in function, they attempted to provide the specific needs for their public rather than imitating nature. Rowe, Columbia University, and Daniel Rowe were some of the best author talked about Modernism. They analyze the meaning, development, and influence of the movement, in a positive or negative way. Furthermore, Hayley talks about the different projects in which a modernist style can be appreciated. She also mentions how different artists and architects adapted their work to the innovating movement, in relation to different parts of the world. The authors from Columbia University hold a stronger argument in relation to the different characteristics of modernist architecture. Characteristics like the materials, the form and the style, information that helps the reader understand much better the topic.

After reading a variety of sources I have concluded that there is not site more believable than the other. I know that this is an nonfunctional conclusion, but that is my perspective. Each site has its own style and its own information, but with examples, citations, and data to backup its claims. On the other hand all my sources share some facts about the topic, not with the same wording but with the same terms. Randall B. Smith and Daniel Rowe are the authors of negative arguments of the topics, but they still talk about the characteristics of the movements and the influence the movement had on the world. Hayley A. and Anthony S. Denzer are the authors with the strongest arguments and data support. They describe the development of Modernism and its effect on the architectural development. Jackie Craven give a broader explanation of what Modernism is, she explains the basic concepts and does not go into detailed information.

Some of the gaps that can be found with in my variety of sources is the lack of variety. In other words, the sources have not explored the new influences of modernist architects towards architecture; most of them describe the same concepts. The concepts they cover are 5 different topics, but no source of mine has covered a sixth one. There is a 50% chance that there is a sixth topic and a 50% chance that there are only five. After analyzing this certain characteristic of my sources, I have decided to access books and encyclopedias in search for new
