Daniel Pink makes a solid impact on teaching us on moving towards Motivation 3.0 and having Type 1 behavior. Pink argues that people should move from motivation 2.0 into motivation 3.0 and have Type 1 Behavior. Pink believes that Motivation 3.0 and Type 1 behavior will further you in your success. With these as a person we should be able to master autonomy, mastery and purpose. If I stick to Motivation 3.0 it well highly impact me in my future career. My mind has grown from one type to another. Type 1 behavior is having motivation to do something that you have a passion for. Daniel Pink states that Motivation 2.0 is “ to seek rewards and avoid punishment more broadly” (16). I grew with Motivation 2.0, always being rewarded with a prize or being punished to get something done. I would go to work only because I knew that I would have a big check waiting for me at the end of the week, my motivation was to get to that reward. The negativity people and customers would make me bummed out and I could not wait till my shift was over. I never left because I knew if I mind my own I would have a check waiting for me. I took a big break from school and on my future career because I did not have the need to come to school. I knew for my future career all I needed was a high school diploma and no further education. Not only do I want to become a Sheriff but I want to advance myself into the field of becoming a Bailiff. A Bailiff is an official in a court of law who keeps order, looks after prisoners, etc. I never knew what a Bailiff was until one day I had to attend court. I walked into the court room and found a spot to sit. Staying there the hole court period the Bailiff announced it was break time. I pulled out my phone still sitting in the court room and not thinking of anything bad I was doing, just minding my own. When all of a sudden I have this Bailiff yelling intensively at me saying that he was taking my phone away. He took it away for the rest of court and handed it back to me at the end of the session explaining why I can not have phones in the court room. Ever since that day that Bailiff inspired me to become one and further my future career. To master what I want to become I need to be able to master Autonomy, mastery, and
