The Harlem Renaissance was an event that had changed the world. It started in Harlem, NY, during the 1920s. It was an event that had given an explosion of African culture, literature, art, and more. This helped change the image of African Americans for many people. African Americans were still discriminated against, but the Harlem renaissance gave opportunity to African Americans. This also helped make African Americans reach a better class in society. African American set pride in their history and ancestry they expressed this pride in art, music, and literature. Important contributions were made of art, literature, and music by African Americans during the Harlem renaissance.
