Biodiversity is “all the different kinds of living organisms within a given area”. This means any place where there are living organisms. There are two main types of biodiversity, tropical and temperate. Tropical regions are hot all of the time and are the most biodiverse. Temperate regions only get hot during the summer and have cold winters, they are less biodiverse. Every place has biodiversity weather it be in the water or on land. Water and tropical regions have are the most biodiverse areas. Biodiversity is important to conserve because we don 't know what parts of it we need and what parts that we don 't. It is also important because every species has a part in the biodiversity. Each of these species is part of a process and removing one of them at any point can mess up everything. We have removed some species on accident and most of them didn 't affect us but we aren 't sure which ones will so we are trying to avoid removing them as much as possible. …show more content…

Some of the treats involve humans others are just things that naturally occur. Some of the threats that come from humans are deforestation, pollution, and the overuse of fishing and hunting. Some threats that naturally occur are climate change and natural disasters. All of these things could be prevented or reduced. We don 't do much to prevent the threats that we cause, but there are somethings that we do. We don 't try to reduce these things because we don 't always think about our actions. Some things that we try to do are we have put laws in place for poaching and the amount of chemicals we put in the air. These things are enforced but we can 't stop it all of the
