Education is a priority around the world, nowadays schools are very common and are for educating our next generation. Animal Farm a book by George Orwell, takes place on Manor Farm a farm owned by Mr. Jones, who the animals revolt against and eventually kick out. The animals rename the farm “Animal Farm” and create their own political system known as animalism. education is important and has many advantages with an education comes the chance to receive better jobb, education decreases the poverty rate , and education develops the economy. Accumulating an education is one of the best ways to end poverty. According to the article, Who is more successful, an educated person or an uneducated person? by AbdulRahman El Shaarawy “If those living in poverty can get an education, they can pull themselves out of those living conditions. They can find a job and earn an income, which is a key part to ending poverty” (El Shaarawy, 2) . Getting an education is one of the biggest steps to ending poverty, with an education individuals can acquire a steady salary and get herself out of poverty. In animal farm during the building of the windmill the animals experienced poverty. The animals experience their own take on poverty as seen in “Throughout the spring and summer they worked a sixty-hour week, and in August Napoleon announced that there would be work on Sunday afternoons as well. This work was strictly voluntary, but any animal who absented himself from it would have his rations reduced by half” (Orwell, 26). Animals were given the option to work on sundays, but if they did not come in to work on sundays their rations would be reduced, this is because the animals have spent all their funds on the building of the windmill and are relying on the windmill as a source of income.
