It blows my mind the amount of lessons that nature can teach. Nature can teach many important lessons besides the obvious; animal habitats, abiotic, and biotic. Nature has taught me personally about teamwork, I learned this when I was out on a canoe trip in the Chesapeake bay with all of the girls of the Stingray team. I learned how important the habit of mind, thinking interdependently truly is. Some of us may have heard that we must think with our peers in order to be successful, this “rule” is true, especially when you are stuck in the middle of the water with only a classmate to get you back to shore. Bella and I decided that she would be the gas of the canoe first and I would be the steering wheel. Each canoe was like a sports team, if everyone was not on task then our trip would be a failure. When we first set off everything was going smooth, and then Taylors boat came crashing into us and we ran them into the marshland. They were freaking out that we were just going to leave them there stranded. We pulled our boat up to them and decided that we would lock hands and pull them out. We were excited to try it but none of us had ever done it so we were very confused. All of the other groups had already caught some sea life, we were still trying to figure the whole thing out. Our group decided to watch the other groups then try it again. We walked back and forth across the river several times. Once we watched them we figured out that our net was tilted the wrong way. We had our third attempt right as the instructor said that we had one more minute. We rushed to get back to shore, when we got back we were thrilled to find two blue crabs in our net. We had
