Dear Parents, In my Future-Like-Ours Argument, I state:
An act of killing is prima facie seriously morally wrong if it deprives a being of a future of value.
Abortion is killing that deprives a being (the fetus) of a future of value.
In simpler words this means, causing anything the loss of a valuable future is morally wrong. The only time it isn’t immoral is when severely painful terminal illnesses are involved and in this case Down Syndrome is not a painful terminal illness.
