In the article “Let’s rein in the Internet of Things before it’s too late” by Nicholas Carr, discusses issues on technology companies and how they have access to personal information. He explains how the public are in the early stages of “things,” and how companies are installing sensors and transmitters in multiple goods that will track the public constantly. This shows his concern for the public, as personal information is constantly being sent to company databases and used for marketing; therefore, this means that public privacy has been violated. He explains on how the public are constantly sharing their information over the internet in contrast to, how it was exchanged in the past, which was limited.
