The book, "In This Moment," by Autumn Doughton, a contemporary, young adult, romance book that draws two people together unexpectedly. Cole, the dreamy, cocky, and hotshot boy that every girl wishes to have. Aimee, the conservative and quiet girl that pushes everyone away and prefers not to get so attached to anyone. Aimee and Cole are two different people, but together they help each other to let go of the burdens and secrets that holds them down. The story begins when Aimee returns from Portland to Florida for her first year in college, she had been gone her senior year and disconnected any sort of contact with her family and friends. She wanted to escape from a ghost that has haunted her ever since her car accident. Aimee struggled to keep herself hidden especially with Cole behind her feet. It was literally the first day of college that she met Cole. Cole was intrigued the first day they meet, she was different to all the other girls that he had been with. Cole is persistent on trying to know more about Aimee and eventually figures out why she has been hiding in the shadows for so long. It takes time for Aimee to be comfortable around Cole since he never settles down with any girl for more than a day or two. This book captured my attention from all the twist and unexpected parts. There were funny, romantic, and emotional parts of this book that the reader can relate to or would picture themselves as the character. Throughout the book, the author was able to pull off all the struggles and happy moments by adding so much emotion and thought to the characters. This book meet my expectations because I was able to lose myself in it and I did not want to put it down. I especially enjoyed how the author added both points of view of the female and male
