Conquest is the subjugation and assumption of control of a place or people by use of military force. When Muhammad died, he had united all of the Arabian Peninsula under the religion of Islam. After Muhammad, there were other people who held power who used conquered other lands and spread the Islamic religion, like Umayyad Caliphate who was part of the greatest expansion of the religion into other areas in that time.
