Inaugural speeches are one of the most important speeches a president can give because it sets all the goals and ideas that they want to make while in presidency. Franklin Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and John Kennedy all had amazing speeches that proved that they were going to do great things for America. however, John Kennedy had the best speech because he focused on the positive things America had going instead of the negative. One reason why Kennedy had the best speech is because he talked about how the new generations are going to be what makes America prosper. Kennedy tells about how change takes time and is not going to happen overnight, so that means that future generations are going to have to continue the change. As he stated,“We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution.” Kennedy says that they are the new generation, but the change he is trying to make will have to be continued by the features generations. This is one reason Kennedy had the best speech because he addresses the truth about how much change he is going to have time to deliver before his term is up. Kennedy not only addresses the American people but also Russia, and the allies saying how they are stronger together. He also stated that America is very powerful and has nuclear weapons that they could uses as a threat. Kennedy stated, “...remember that, in the past, those who foolishly power by riding the back of a tiger ended up inside.” Kennedy said this because Russia was making threats over their country using nuclear weapons and, how they are very strong and overpower the USA.
