The term Christianity refers to a faith that revolves around the person of Jesus, the Son of God. Jesus is known as the Savior because he suffered, died and was buried, and on the Third Day he rose from the dead. Thus, he saved mankind by dying on the cross for their sins. The Christian narrative is the problem of sin and the Christian solution of salvation. In addition to Jesus, the Christian symbols are God, the Bible and church. Since Christianity is a religion with a story, the stories have been collected in the gospel. Like most branches of religion, the two branches disagreed on the techniques that would get you to the destination of salvation. The extensive process of becoming a saint can begin at least five years after an individuals death.
