Culture is a shared behavior of knowledge and beliefs that is shared between the groups of people of a particular society. Every culture is different and unique in terms of their shared behavior. On the oth er hand some similarities also lie between the cultures of different countries. There are many types of differences lies between American culture and Indian culture. Rituals are the part of the culture that unites the people and serves as an identity of peoples of a particular culture and it passes the historical information of a culture. For example the ritual differences in marriages. In India the arranged marriage system is more commonly performed in which family chooses the mate for their child. There are also many differences in the marriage ceremony rituals like an Indian wedding ceremony is usually a three- four days long ceremony with different events like mehndi, sangeet, actual wedding day and reception.
