Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is about a man who happens to be an agent that travels the world on missions. On this mission he is traveling to Peru to find the missing crystal skull and put it back where it belongs. Not only is he looking for the skull, he is helping Mutt find his mom, who was kidnapped, and Ox. Jones and Mutt finds a coded map in Ox’s prison cell where he was trying to figure out how to find the crystal skull or how to put it back. This journey will lead to mystery and relationships between Mutt and Jones.
Throughout the movie Indiana Jones will show traits that make him look like an epic hero or others that make him look like an epic zero. Some of those epic hero traits show more than the epic zero traits. All through the movie he portrays high social status when everyone knows him as Professor Jones, even the Russians know him. One of the traits that I didn’t see being portrayed is nobility of character when Mutt told Jones that his mother had been kidnapped. Jones didn’t show any emotion for him or didn’t at least care that this kid’s mom was gone. In this movie there was no effect on the outcome of the movie or affect the destiny of the people. After the movie I didn’t see many epic zero traits, but there definitely were times that he showed us that he was not an epic hero.
I think Indiana Jones is more of an epic hero than he is an epic zero, because he portrayed so many traits that made him look like a hero. Jones could have left Mutt alone and not help him find his mother, but instead he got interested because Ox was also missing. Jones wanted to get involved in why Ox left and where he had went.
