Individuality is an important part of being a human, having morals, values and self thought. I have chosen to explore the theme ‘Individuality’. Individuality is a theme that is evident in the texts Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, 1984 by George Orwell and The Wave by Morton Rhue. It is also shown through the film Equilibrium directed and written by Kurt Wimmer. In the movie Equilibrium by Kurt Wimmer, the character of Cleric Preston goes through changes that involve the loss and gain of being an individual. I think that the film also related to current day society as it referred to medication being the cure to the way humans act. In Libria they give out Prozium to stop people from feeling to prevent humans from acting hateful and to prevent them from starting wars. In current day society, antidepressants and other medications are given to people who behave in a slightly unusual way. Wimmer is suggesting that this may not be a good thing and may have negative
