I’m fairly confident that I at the very least passed the test with a 3, maybe even a 4. I think that I did as well as I usually do on multiple choice, which hopefully means that I got more than half of them right, but there were more than a few questions that I had trouble with and I ended up not being very confident with my answers for them, however on the whole I think I did alright. For the essays, I spent WAY too much time on the DBQ (I went into the rhetorical analysis time in order to finish it) and I didn’t do a very good time synthesising and using the sources. I’m fairly certain that I answered the prompt thoroughly, but I relied too much on outside information and didn’t use many quotes from the sources. For the rhetorical analysis,
English 1010 was an amazing class, during the period that the class was going on I was able to develop my communication skills and become aware of the world around me and how individuals operate according to what the society wants from them. The English 1010 class helped in developing a new aspect of reasoning, analyzing and drawing adequate conclusion. So far in AP Language and Composition, we have learned how to critically analyze texts using rhetorical and literary analysis. I feel comfortable with literary analysis because of how frequently and often I have been doing it in the past couple of years. Regarding rhetorical analysis we have learned diverse types of appeals used in rhetoric, appealing to a reader’s emotions using pathos, an ethical appeal using ethos, or appealing to a reader’s logic using logos. These skills and concepts are completely new to me and I am still beginning to understand how to use these appeals in my writing strategically. However, I feel more confident in finding these appeals in other rhetorical texts, including ads and speeches, because of how much practice

In these passages they 're speaking on whether psas ' is a good thing or can it be beneficial. Passage 1 is trying to prove that these commercials are good. Passage 2 is trying to prove that this can be good or bad but basically saying beneficial. Passage 1 is correct if you ask me. If they are trying to put in kids head that drugs and alcohol can hurt you then kids will not use them.
In Act Two, Dr. Patricia Deegan described her experience with hearing voices as a profoundly auditory experience. As a child, she normalized the experience believing everyone else heard voices as well. I found this perspective to be reasonable because it is common for individuals to compare their experiences to those around themselves. For example, in our mood disorder lecture we talked about how those diagnosed with major depressive disorder have thoughts similar to “Everyone around me seems to have it together, and I still have no idea what is going on." Overall, the podcast influenced me to reflect on how I interpret my own thoughts and emotions.

Society is drawn to leaders that have good rhetoric, propaganda, and charismatic personalities, and society supports them despite their immorality. Society is concerned about stability more than the morality of their leaders and will support immoral leaders in times of crisis to provide stability. In history there have been multiple leaders that have used rhetoric, propaganda and charismatic personalities to gain power, despite their morals.

Kathryn Stockett successfully uses rhetorical devices to get the reader to feel and understand the perspectives of the protagonists. Stockett uses pathos, ethos, and logos in her book, since the book about social injustice. The topics in the book range from inequality of the sexes to social classes and racism, Stockett is successful in getting the reader to reflect while reading the book and the themes of the book have a clear presence. We see Stockett use ethos and pathos in the very first chapters when we learn that Hilly doesn't like Minny and Minny doesn't want to say why at first, but the incident with Ms. Holbrook was affecting her chances of getting a job because of the influence Hilly has over this suburban society. In some instances where Stockett uses ethos, pathos is also included in her writing.
