1. Trifles is based off of the Hossack’s case. Mrs. Wright is used to depict Margaret Hossack. Margaret Hossack was abused by her husband as Mrs. Wright was. Hossack however was convicted of murder. I believe Glaspell used Mrs. Wright in Trifles to show the other side of the story. After murdering her husband Mrs. Wright is helped by the other women to keep from being convicted. 2. There are many ways for the played to be viewed as feminist. The inequalities in this play are very clear. The men in this play are very arrogant and hard headed. The women in this play are very understanding and tend to notice little details and look into things more closely. At the start of the play the men were talking down upon the women.
