College: The Worthwhile Investment
The decision whether or not a college education is worth spending thousands of dollars on is a controversial topic. Particular people believe that in order to be financially successful in life one must attend college and get a degree. Others argue that college is not necessary and by not going there is no burden of being buried in student loans. However, there are many ways to get around being stuck with student loans like being awarded grants and scholarships. Although getting a college education may be expensive and time consuming, it is clear that getting a degree is worth the investment because there are more job opportunities, it can help better prepare for ones future decisions, and statistics prove that ones income increases with the more education they have.
Having a college education opens a tremendous amount of doors to meet new people, network for future jobs, and gain the extra attention needed during a job interview. In todays world it is not just what you know, but whom you know. Having a degree says more about a person then one would initially think, it says they are dedicated, can follow directions and are willing to complete the task at hand.
