This includes being drunk as a lifestyle choice that will prevent the user from going to heaven. In Ephesians, Paul talks about how wine and drunkenness leads down an path of sin and debauchery, and to instead be filled up with the Holy Spirit. In Proverbs it talks about how drinking alcohol containing drinks will lead astray and is not a wise act. Then in 21:17 it compares alcoholics to gluttony, showing how out of control alcohol drinking can get. In St. Paul's letter to the Romans it tells of how being drunk is not decent or a good act to follow through, as to behave not like being drunk. And finally, in 1 Peter, they talk about how you should not behave like the pagans who choose to live a life of drunkenness and other horrible acts. In conclusion, these Bible versus tell of how excessive alcohol drinking is sinful and always leads to destruction of the body, mind, and soul. As well as hurting many in a short time extremely fast. The Bible further elaborates on this by having multiple mentions of alcohol associated with sinful cities and entire cultures of sinners who need to repent their ways. It is an poison mainly when taken with high doses because of the state of being drunk really starving the brain of oxygen, slowly killing the person overtime and destroying the liver preventing meaningful function leading to possible organ failure also killing the person. I personally believe that if taken in moderation, alcohol can provide benefits, and it is scientifically proven that taken small doses can help prevent some heart diseases. But scene it is an powerful drug, it is best to avoid it through a persons life to prevent the possibility of Alcoholism from being acquired and ruining the person's life in order to obtain more alcohol.
