Mainly because more than 100 types of cancer have been discovered in this century, and because many of medical efforts were made and used to fight all cancers all over the world. After years of struggling with different cancers, doctors are more aware of the causes of this horrible disease and how they can be treated. Breast cancer remains a major concern in the medical field. Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control. The cells usually form a tumor that can be seen with an x-ray or felt as a lump. The tumor is cancer if the cells start to grow into the surrounding tissue or spread to other areas of the body.
