Many people know Dolly Parton as a flamboyant, larger-than-life personality with rhinestones shining on stage with an angelic lilt and a heart as lovely as her home state of Tennessee. Dolly’s story, however, began in the hills of an almost forgotten village called Locust Ridge in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains.
