Although they are not for everybody such as people living in big cities or people who aren’t home a lot, the German Shepherd Dogs are unique, loyal, strong, and energetic dogs that need exercise at least once a day, they have to get exercise at least once or twice a day. They are a hard working dog that has been breed in the past for their energy for people like farmers, and because of this they make great running partners. Strongheart was another famous German Shepherd Dog who appeared in a movie but he didn’t appear in as many movies as Rin Tin Tin. He was born on October 1, 1917, Germany, and died on June 24, 1929, Los Angeles, CA. He wasn’t as famous as Rin Tin Tin and had no other dogs named after him. He had only starred in 6 movies with one of them being White Fang which is read to by some teachers in some schools. The GSD was first a farming dog, bred and trained to be a sheep herder for the farmers. They originated from Germany and slowly moved over to the United States after some years and grew to be a very popular dog. In fact to this day it is one of the top five most famous breeds of dogs in the world. This dog originated from a town called Verein Deutscher Schäferhunde Geschäftsstelle, Germany, which roughly translates to place of the German Shepherd Dogs. This dog can be a very good working dog and a very good family pet as well. But as always it depends on how it was trained as a puppy, if it was trained poorly it won’t be a very well behaved dog and will have some behavioral issues that can be very hard to fix.
