CARE’s website has a picture on the front page, in the picture a woman is holding her child. The woman looks poor and in need of help. CARE has this picture to display what they are trying to stop, poverty. Countless pictures all over their site shows people this organization is trying to help. When I see a picture of the person I am donating to help, it makes it more personal. Furthermore, CARE’s site has numerous bright colors including orange, light blue, magenta, golden yellow, olive green, and purple. The primary color is orange, orange gives users an energetic feeling. Orange is appropriate for CARE because they’re an advocate for poverty, CARE wants users to take action and get involved. CARE’s site uses boxes to separate different topics, projects, and subjects. The boxes are color coded magnifying certain subjects. The donation box is magenta, magenta gives users a feeling of compassion and relaxation. Magenta is ideal for the donation box because CARE wants users to feel compassion for the people in poverty.
