The Topic: The idea that I would be discussing is Imperialism: What is it? - It’s a basic introduction over imperialism. - Information will be based on the time frame of the 19th and 20th century. Basically in the middle of the industrial revolution to the beginning of the 20th century. - Using subtopics on the industrialized (European) countries and other nations under their control, to go further in depth on imperialism. - It is relevant because of the fact that because of the industrial revolution, more nations began to explore looking for more land to control. The Plan: - The plan for the next 4 lesson weeks: - A basic plan of what I should do in the following weeks to come (dates aren’t precise; other things might change them). - Not all dates are listed but there will be other says where the project will be worked on. Date: What I 'm going to do: Fri. 5th Begin research on imperialism: using guidelines, such as research questions; to get information needed. Create a document to place all research found and create a source page. Mon. 7th Continue on researching. Also making sure the research is relevant to what the product must achieve. Start planning the process journal and keep up with it. Fri. 12th Start on the actual product (if it is a presentation or poster). Find images associated to the topic. Mon. 14th Continuation on the presentation and edit if needed. Fri. 19th Finish presentation and create the full report containing all criterions (A, B, C and D). Mon. 21st More addition on the full report also editing as I go on Fri. 26th Ask teacher for advice on progress and final results. Also continue on the whole project.
