Breast cancer is a cancer that women get right? Wrong...guys get it too. Breast cancer is a very deadly cancer in women, but people do not seem to know that guys also get breast cancer. Breast cancer is not a sexist cancer, it can take women as victims as well as men, yet many people just assume that men cannot get breast cancer. Breast cancer is not one of the deadliest cancer, but it does take many lives each year. Breast cancer can have many causes and has many treatments, but the treatments are not necessarily a cure. This growth is a tumor and is mostly found under the nipple. If this tumor is fairly large or noticeable it is painless. With my uncle the tumor was painless until his phone started rubbing on it causing irritation and discomfort, making him notice that it was something that was not natural. This is one of the symptoms, but if the growth is too small to be noticed then there are other symptoms that can show a man that they may have breast cancer. There is pain in the nipple, or an inverted nipple can occur, as well as nipple discharge that can either be clear or bloody (BreastCancer.org, 2016). Along with these there can also be an enlargement of lymph nodes under the arm that is detected with a CT scan. My uncle had the tumor as well as the enlargement of lymph nodes that was detected later when they did a CT scan on his chest.
