The French Revolution, still talked about today, we see it in our movies, art, classrooms and even heard in our music. With the prominence of it today, you would imagine it was well talked about at the time. For the people of France during the time of the revolution this would have been a big deal. I mean if you and others had planned on starting a revolution or even wanting to get rid of the absolute monarchy, you could only assume that this was a popular topic and was something that got put into the news papers gossiped about amongst that most if not all people of France and most likely some from neighboring countries quite often. One of the events that I found rather interesting and prominent that really shoved the monarchy into change was the tennis court oath that literally had hundreds of French shoved into a tennis court until they got what they wanted, so, I mean how could it not be talked about and seen as one of the most important events that occurred during this whole time. …show more content…

There were minor consequences at the time such as the taxes being increased ion the nobles instead of being on the poor. Some of the bigger consequences of the time were King Louis XVI being executed by guillotine by the Jacobin party on account of writing letters to other countries in Europe such as Prussia, to come and attack France and kill his people in hope that they would want to bring him back as king. These affect lots of people; we still see the consequences today. The French Revolution also set a precedent for a democratic French
