Do you know the journey of the first moon landing? I'm going to tell you about the astronauts involved in the landing and about the trip on July 16, 1969 Apollo 11
The primary objective of Apollo 11 was to complete a goal set by John F. Kennedy. The Apollo program had included 400,000 engineers, technicians, and logistic activities. All this cost 24 billion dollars for NASA. Apollo 11 was programmed to travel 240,000 miles in 76 hours. There was a lot of planning and training that went into Apollo 11. There were more bad than good things that could happen. That's why NASA took extra precaution by doing testing with the spacecraft. This journey was no cheap one costing them a total of 355 million dollars. The day of the launch was on July

The astronauts deployed the Early Apollo Surface Experiments Package and other instruments, took photographs, and collected 21.55 kg of lunar rock and soil. The astronauts traversed a total distance of about 250 meters. The extra vehicular activity ended when the astronauts returned to the Lunar module and closed the hatch and left for home. The astronauts were on the moon for 21 hours 36 minutes after they left the moon the LM was jettisoned into the lunar orbiton july 22nd with a 2 ½ firing of the CSM main engine. A mid-course correction was made and the Command module was separated from the Service module on July 24th 1969 at 12:50 pm. The spacecraft splashed into the Pacific Ocean. It was a Success it was done after 195 hours 18 minutes and 35 seconds NASA put someone on the moon. The Apollo 11 had three parts Command module, a service module, and a Lunar module. The Command Module which housed the crew. Spacecraft operations systems, and re-entry equipment. Also the Service Module which carried most of the consumables oxygen, water, helium, fuel cells, and
