In the last 70 years, a growing population of people who are gruesomely fascinated by the Holocaust have emerged. For the last month we have been learning about how the Nazis exterminated 12 million people, and how terrible their conditions were, but we have yet to answer one of the most important questions: why? What pushed a whole population of people who were otherwise rational to do these terrible things? How can we prevent future genocides in the future if we don't have an understanding of why they start? Nazi ideology, Jewish persecution and the psyche of Hitler has been studied by professionals for years. Thesis: In my speech, I will be telling you about Nazi Ideology, including events that led up to Jewish persecution and the history of the swastika. Preview of Main Points: In order to understand Nazi ideology, we will talk about the history of hatred towards Jews, Hitler’s psyche and Nazi ideals. They have been blamed for being too rich and controlling society, and for being too poor and taking from those who earned their living. The Jews have been hated for claiming to be, “the chosen people,” and for having crucified Jesus Christ, even though it was the Roman that crucified Jesus according to the Bible. Also, the Jews were considered to be a race, even though it is a religion. People had a fear of the unknown and because Jews were different there was an automatic distaste for them. All of these reasons led to anti semitism and them being the perfect scapegoat for people's problems all across
