In the last 70 years, a growing population of people who are gruesomely fascinated by the Holocaust have emerged. For the last month we have been learning about how the Nazis exterminated 12 million people, and how terrible their conditions were, but we have yet to answer one of the most important questions: why? What pushed a whole population of people who were otherwise rational to do these terrible things? How can we prevent future genocides in the future if we don't have an understanding of why they start? Nazi ideology, Jewish persecution and the psyche of Hitler has been studied by professionals for years. They have been blamed for being too rich and controlling society, and for being too poor and taking from those who earned their living. The Jews have been hated for claiming to be, “the chosen people,” and for having crucified Jesus Christ, even though it was the Roman that crucified Jesus according to the Bible.
