Julius Caesar was a politician and popular leader in the Roman Republic. Today we are not sure if he was born on the 12th or the 13th of July, 100 B.C.E. He came from Roman aristocrats, his family was not rich. When he was 16 years old, his father, Gaius Caesar, died. Though he remained close to his mother, Aurelia. He also expanded the Roman Republic geographic reach and established its imperial system. By the age of 31 he had already fought in several wars and had started participating in politics. He only ruled one year as the dictator of the Roman Empire before his death. His rule proved to be very important reforming Rome for his people. He expanded the Senate to help represent all Romans.
