Specific Purpose: To introduce the audience the one of the most beautiful place in United States – Lake Tahoe.

Thesis: The Lake Tahoe has very interesting geographic facts, legend and lots of attractions that makes this place beautiful.

One of the most beautiful place in United States – Lake Tahoe

I. Introduction

Imagine yourself seating on the rock, watching extremely clear waters range in blues from aqua to cerulean to cobalt, granite mountains, some snowcapped, even at summer’s height, soar all around and listening to the waves hit the shore.

Geographic facts that makes this place attractive

1. Supporting facts :

Lake Tahoe is located about 2000 miles (what means around twenty eight hours drive in the car or over than four hours fly) from South Suburban Collage, on the border between California and Nevada.

a. The first, lake was formed about 25 million years ago by geologic block faulting. In during of the Ice Age the huge ice blocks formed in the surrounding mountains.

b. In addition, Lake Tahoe’s greatest depth of 1,645 feet makes it the second deepest lake in United States.

c. Even though the Lake Tahoe has lots of freezing days and nights ( the record low temperatures F was reached in South Lake Tahoe – 29 F in December 1972 ) it has never frozen over. The Lake’s great depth and volume of water keep it in motion.

d. Tahoe also is so clear that in some places the objects can be seen to depths of over 70 feet.

B. As previously mentioned I would like to tell more about legend that hide in the depths of Lake

The mysterious monster became to be popular now. Many Tahoe-based companies use it as logo and also Tahoe Tessie can be found in carton version in many children’s books and local newspaper.

3. Conclusion statement: Even though the Tahoe Tessie makes people feel scared, he became to be a “face of the city”.

C. Attractions and places what everybody must-see in Tahoe

1. One of the most beautiful hidden beaches in Lake Tahoe is Secret Cove. Although it sits next to the highway 28, you won’t even see it. This is great place for sunbathing, picnicking and swimming. Once you’re there you don’t want to get back.

2. Besides the hidden beaches you can also go to hiking, bicycling or try your luck in many of biggest casinos located in the Nevada side. You can find there more than 7000 slots machines.

3. Conclusion statement: Following this further, planning the trip to Tahoe we should to reserve few days to visit all of those places.
