There is so many college students that are the first in their family or struggle to finish high school to even get in to college.
IV. [Preview of what is to come.] So, I want to show the history of Michigan state college. Second I want to talk about how Eric Thomas came to this college and started to make big change in the university and community around it. Last thing is how this made his dream a reality.
Michigan state has a rich culture and history, so let me give you a look at this grand school; this college was founded 1855. It was one of the first higher learning school to teach science and agriculture. Which lead to the school first official name in February 12, 1855 it was called Agricultural College of the State of Michigan but They didn’t get their name that we all know tell January 1,1964 which is Michigan State University. Know let picture how the school has grown. Its location is on the east side of Lansing close to Michigan’s capital. It has over 545 building that spanned over 19,600 acres across Michigan. With many acres set aside for agriculture and research projects. So he took a job after his bachelor degree that he got at Oakwood university at Michigan State as an advisor to help the young people and underprivileged students. As Eric Thomas was working for the college of Michigan, he was going for his master degree in K- 12 Administration. Eric Thomas then started in Michigan state a programs to help under privileged kids that have drop out of school to get there and get them in to college and adjust to college
