The divider between an average citizen and a monster begins with the repetition of ones wrongdoings. When a creature continues to execute their wicked actions without sensing the tragedy that has developed as a result of their misconduct, then the cruelty is considered monstrous. From this, it can be inferred that more than one shot was fired, hence repetition took place. This recurrence means that instead of realizing the calamity that occurred, James Holmes sought to create even more destruction. However, not only were the victims and their families affected by the attack, regular civilians became very precaution and tentative to even enter a theater following the massacre.
