In “ Commodify Your Dissent” article, Thomas Frank shows his point which is based on the American cultural ideas in the 1950s. It has a lot of difference between two lifestyles such as fashion, education, and technology. So that, I agree with Thomas Frank’s contention that marketing no longer promotes conformity but, rather, promotes “never-ending self-fulfillment” and “constantly updated individualism” (paragraph 6) because humans’ trends ,interest, and culture is always changes by the time. When the humans ‘ lives develop increasingly, humans ' needs gradually improve. Comparing to 1950s, the technology in modern life is developed significantly, so advertisers also have to change to match consumer trends to get their attention.

The Anti-Federalist believed that ratifying the U.S Constitution will create an overbearing central government. Even though the Anti-Federalist lost the debate and was overlooked, their predictions about the result of the Constitution turned out the be true. The Anti-Federalist suggested the Bill of Rights to let the people have rights, however the Constitution was too vague which leads to abuse of power. Some of the vague laws are the “general welfare” which lead to the override limits on delegated federal powers and creating
The declaration of independence was written on July 4th 1776 in Philadelphia by Thomas Jefferson for all Americans. The document was written to explain why America had voted to declare independence from Britain and is one of America’s most important documents to this day. Taxes forced upon the colonists by Britain after the French and Indian War enraged the colonists, leading to the Revolution that would change the world forever. Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence and Thomas Paine’s The Crisis Number 1 were two very important works of literature during the Revolutionary period. Both works used persuasion effectively.

Paine’s most famous pamphlet was the first time someone had proclaimed independence and supported their claim in writing. Furthermore, Thomas Paine had spoken publically about an issue that would previously only be spoken about privately with close friends, thus transforming attitudes about not only the discussion of independence in America but also actual independence from Britain. Therefore, not only was Common Sense successful for its ideas discussed throughout the book, but also for its influence on the discussions of people regarding independence.

Some people and documents that addressed this issue are the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson, The U.S. Constitution: Preamble and Bill of Rights, and “Jefferson: The Best of Enemies” by Ron Chernow.
If it weren’t for Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence, America would look so much different than it is right now. Who knows if the United States would even exist. Arguably, if Jefferson hadn’t written the Declaration, is someone else had, it wouldn’t have been as strong. And possibly, the new colony would have needed to wait longer to become independent, if they became independent at all. But Jefferson’s strong rhetorical appeals help persuade his audience that new colony deserves independent, and his use of allusions contribute greatly to his argument, making his appeals powerful and capture the attention of his audience, and to get them to agree with him.
