Insecurity In WW1

71 Words1 Pages
Insecurity leads to the feeling that somehow you will be let down, rejected, or abandoned. This feeling can result from damaging experiences. In Jake’s experience, an injury in the war left him impotent and feeling less of a man. He carries the burden of weakened masculinity and he can’t seem to shake a tormenting impression of inadequacy, which is only augmented by Brett’s unwillingness to enter into a relationship with him.
