Int. tiagnos's house - night
Tiagnos sits on his balcony. His view looks out far beyond the city's walls, but Tiagnos seems lost, deep in thought.
Sounds of footsteps from behind. Tiagnos turns.
TIAGNOS

HOLEO

HOLEO
I know what you are thinking about, and I thought to offer help.
TIAGNOS
(aghast)

HOLEO
Yes, I would like to get your permission to sneak into the prison at night, and help Father Olius and the monk escape.
Tiagnos stands, his demeanor now fraught with anger.
TIAGNOS
That's preposterous. You are young and know nothing about the world. If they capture you, they will hang you before dawn.
HOLEO

Holeo, take whatever you need and you shall have my blessings. Once you succeed in getting them out, make sure they disappear.
HOLEO

Tiagnos stands and opens a drawer to take a bag filled with money.
TIAGNOS
Give them this as well.
Holeo node and his eys go side at the amount of money placed in his hands.
TIAGNOS (cont'd)
I will wait your return and pray to God that you succeed. God bless you and take care.
HOLEO
I shall return before sunrise.
Holeo leaves the room and closes the door behind him.
Ext. Roman Prison - night
TWO GUARDS, 20s, physically strong, with long body armor, stand tall abefore the prison's gate.
A loud sound of the two guards cheering joyfully schoes in the air. Holeo enters with bottles of wine.
first GUARD
What are you doing here, boy?
HOLEO
My master sent me to bring you some wine in celebration of the emperor's return to Rome.
first GUARD
An honorable gesture. Indeed, we will drink.
The second guard comes closer to Holeo; takes his sword out and holds the blade right up against Holeo's face.
second GUARD
Who's your master, boy?
HOLEO

First GUARD
Speak! You have a tongue, don't
