Int. tiagnos's house - night

Tiagnos sits on his balcony. His view looks out far beyond the city's walls, but Tiagnos seems lost, deep in thought.

Sounds of footsteps from behind. Tiagnos turns.

TIAGNOS

Who is it?

HOLEO

Are you still awake, Master!

TIAGNOS

What do you want, Holeo?

HOLEO

I know what you are thinking about, and I thought to offer help.

TIAGNOS

(aghast)

Help!

HOLEO

Yes, I would like to get your permission to sneak into the prison at night, and help Father Olius and the monk escape.

Tiagnos stands, his demeanor now fraught with anger.

TIAGNOS

That's preposterous. You are young and know nothing about the world. If they capture you, they will hang you before dawn.

Tiagnos stands and opens a drawer to take a bag filled with money.

TIAGNOS

Holeo node and his eys go side at the amount of money placed in his hands.

Holeo leaves the room and closes the door behind him.

Ext. Roman Prison - night

TWO GUARDS, 20s, physically strong, with long body armor, stand tall abefore the prison's gate.

A loud sound of the two guards cheering joyfully schoes in the air. Holeo enters with bottles of wine.

first GUARD

What are you doing here, boy?

HOLEO

My master sent me to bring you some wine in celebration of the emperor's return to Rome.

The second guard comes closer to Holeo; takes his sword out and holds the blade right up against Holeo's face.
