Art Center:
This is a traditional center in all centers of early childhood programs and it is designed to help with the children’s artistic creations.
Supplies in the area are:
• Art supplies,
• Tools for the children’s easy access,
• Different materials such as paper, paint, tape, staplers, glue and scissors.
Physical features of the art center:
• Washable surfaces
• Water source
• Materials that are well organized, visible, and they are accessible to the children. Art is artistic goals are held equal academic standards and the teacher works at designing lessons that highlight the content through art. Early childhood education begins at the time a child is born. An infant brain development has reinforced psychologist and educators have believed is that child’s first three years of life influences the lifelong development and learning. Teachers are making connections between the content areas and the children find creative confidence and express their expressions.
Illustrator’s Corner:
• Illustrations in children’s picture books is the children’s first introduction to art (Prairie, 2010)
• Different techniques that can introduce children to an artist and their art.
• Picture books communicate to children by combining art and text.
Children when they read books and as they look at illustrations they learn how they use their ideas, stories, and the happenings (Prairie, 2010). Illustrations make text more understandable to children and make it easier for them to add information.
Exploring music from different cultures:
• Music gives insight into people from around the world.
• Cultures have music they sing and instruments they play.

Definition of the arts integration is an approach to teaching where children construct and they show understanding through using art form. The children are engaged in creative processes which connect art and another content area and meet objectives for both. Approach is a path that helps you reach a person or a place. The arts are more than just an activity it is an approach to teaching that is in a daily practice (Layne, 2010). An approach to teaching is how things are taught then what is taught. The main source of art integration is the way the children engage to get the creative process. This is more than repeating songs, copying art, or being able to follow direction. The children will create something of value and its original. The children in the creative process the children are interacting. 1). The children imagine, and they examine, and they perceive. 2). The children will explore, experiment, and develop their craft. 3). The children start to create. 4). The children learn to reflect, assess, and can revise it. 5). Children will share with others what they did (Layne, 2010). Moving and learning in the curriculum shows that early movement can help in the brain development.
