In the story “The Most Dangerous Game “ by “Richard Connell” is talking about a man named rainsford that has to literally survive for a few days in a place where people are hunted like animals.A survivor is a person who is willing to fight every day in order to stay alive, but then this will mean that he will have to be brave, instinctual, and intelligent. One characteristic of any survivor that i have is Intelligent. A example that was in the story was was when the characters said, “ How in god did you get here” “I swam , I found it quicker than walking the jungle.” This shows that he was intelligent enough to take a short cut instead of taking the long way so he can save some time. Another example was when rainsford did some footprints to confuse general zaroff. This shows he is intelligent because he knew a way to confuse general zaroff so he decided to do it. A example of instinctual that i have is when it says, “I'll give him a trail to follow muttered Rainsford , and he struck off.” This shows he is instinctual because he knew what to do so he made a little trap and he thought he would get him there and just win the game. The second thing i have to show that a survivor is instinctual was in the story it says, “Even as he touched it the general sensed his danger and leaped back with the agility of an ape, Rainsford called the general, if you are within the sound of my voice s i suppose you are, let me congratulate you , not many people know how to make a Malay Mancatcher.” This shows that he is instinctual because he is being congratulated by the person he is hunting because he showed how much knowledge and skill he has to make one.
