Interactionist Analysis of Adam Sandler The interactionist perspective falls within the social and cultural domain of personality. This perspective emphasizes how people’s personalities are expressed and impacted by their environments as well as how their environments are shaped by their personalities. This perspective consists of three initial processes; selection, evocation, and manipulation. An individuals’ personality has an affect on various environmental and social interactions surrounding the individual. Sandler had never been priorly interested in pursuing a career in comedy, but he attended and attempted stand-up comedy himself due to his brother’s words of encouragement (Burger, 2020). Sandler chose to continue to build up his career as a comedian while he simultaneously attended New York University (NYU), the Tisch School of the Arts, where graduated from with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting in 1988 at age 21.
