One of the most famous interior designers in the world is Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Bullard works with many famous individuals, including Sharon Osbourne (Jane Simon, Makeovers with a Hint of Hollywood). But Martyn Lawrence Bullard, just like any successful interior designer did not become famous by the snap of a finger, it takes time and effort to build a career. In interior design, Joseph Pubillones states there is a ¨nonexistent budget¨ meaning there is not a set limit to what a client would pay and what the designers income would be (Pubillones). Interior design salaries depend on the type of employer and the experience and reputation they have. If it is interior designers that are in large design firms, they will make high and stable salaries. Interior designers that work in a retail store will normally earn a irregular commission. Residential, self-employed interior designers and people working in small firms normally make a per-hour fee and a percentage of the total cost of products needed to complete a job. Self-employed designers have to pay for their own benefits ("Interior Designer Training and Qualifications." Interior Designer Training Requirements. N.p., n.d. Web. 18 Feb. 2016.). In the design industry, a person's income depends on their quality of work. If a designer is known for completing excellent projects they will easily be able to climb the design industry ladder and have a higher income compared to a designer who might not be as creative. But there are no limitations on the work designers do, therefore interior design is a career that anyone can advance
