The Protestant Reformation had a huge impact in all Europe in the sixteen century, but which ones were the factors that lead to it? It is very important to highlight that the European Christianity was falling into a noticeable corruption of its popes and some other high position members. Robbery, and even warriors were among of some factors that took the Cristian Church to a declining path. One of these examples was the Pope Julius II, which one won the nickname “the warrior pope” because he led armies against people. Furthermore, the church was not the only factor promoting this reformation, some other social changes were occurring with the masses in Europe; many of the peasants were being free especially in the western Europe.

One of the reasons why Catholics and Protestants had difficulty tolerating each other was that the fundamental beliefs of the two religions conflicted with each other. Churches continued to branch off into new denominations and each have “some distinct beliefs and histories” (Rhodes 18). For religions such as Protestantism “the work of several influential christian leaders gave rise to new denominations” (Rhodes 18).
The protestant reformation was caused by the breaking down of authority and power of the catholic church. Europe was impacted with wars between catholic and protestants because leaders try to break free from the century old grip of the catholic church. The monarchs wanted to build bigger armies so they can control the people more but to do that they would have to raise the taxes and the people did not like that so the peasants started to revolt. The more the peasants revolted the bigger the armies got and the bigger the armines got the higher the taxes were so that made the peasants mader and mader.
Protestant Reformation Protestant Reformation was a European Christian movement. This movement, led by Martin Luther reformed the Roman Catholic Church practices and begin Protestantism. The reformation started because of the corruption of Roman Catholic Church. The corruption that begin the protestant reformation was phony relics and indulgences. The church priests would sell these relics to poor people knowing that they were fake and build on lies only to make money for the church.

Catholics also have devotion for Mary, so they pray to her; while Protestants do not pray to her. For Catholics, the most important part of Mass is the Eucharist or Holy Communion, while Protestants believe that the most significant part comes with the sermon. Catholics also believe in practices that are not explicitly stated in the Scriptures. In contrast, Protestants believe only in what is stated in the Scriptures.
Enemies from Within In the age of modern secular culture, the life of the Catholic has become increasingly difficult to live out and uphold. Contradicting social influences, along with complex, ethical issues like abortion, lead many Catholic individuals astray, resulting in the development of fake, nominal Catholics and even formed organizations like Catholics for Choice. Religious freedom grants pro-choice Catholics the ability to withdraw from the faith, demonstrating its important role in protecting the dignity of all humans as well as establishing more genuine and consistent Catholic ideals of human life in the public square.
