Cavs Woes. Kyrie, a man who may or may not think the Earth is round, all-knowing. Did Kyrie see the collapse coming; the old age, the internal issues, everything that has led to the Cavaliers’ current situation? Kyrie might have just wanted to get out under LeBron’s shadow, be his own man, and embrace a new environment. Or it could very well have been a mix of both reading the tea leaves and wanting independence in a knew environment, but regardless Kyrie got out and is one of the major reasons why the Cleveland Cavaliers are disintegrating. The Cavaliers, the best team in the Eastern Conference three years in a row, were not embarrassed by the Warriors in the 2017 NBA Finals, but did narrowly avoid a sweep by shooting so efficiently that they set historic highs and broke records— they lost the series 4-1. First thoughts after that the Finals have ended was how amazing and dominant the Warriors were, are, and how the Cavs kept every game extremely close, but now we aren’t seeing the same Cavaliers team, instead we are seeing a Kyrie-less …show more content…

The Cavs internal conflict is a hot topic currently in the basketball world and it is layered with various story lines. Some story lines from the past month: The team hates Kevin Love, Ty Lue isn’t a good coach, LeBron doesn’t communicate with the front office and Thomas just isn’t what he was last year, which is more external but seems to be effective Thomas’ morale. Let us start with Kevin Love. Love, a player who has been an All-Star the past two seasons with the Cavs, is and has always been pointed to as the source of the Cavs weakness. As well, Love’s style of play is nothing flashy, but he puts up numbers, not only puts up numbers, but he contributes significantly and has contributed to the Cavs success over the years.
