In 1953 one of the most popular stage productions was released to the public. The text was an improvisation on the historical events that occurred in Salem, Massachusetts. The written story is a drama that follows a set of characters and the choices they are forced to choose from. It is a testament of these characters' faith as well as their self morals. Sharing similarities to what was currently going on within the United States during the early 1950s Authur Miller wrote the work to show his own Crucible and show what people were going through with their own internal conflicts. Seeing this the girl sets up a scheme for the arrest of Elizabeth in which Abigale is successful. Witnessing his wife's arrest Procter comes up with his own scheme in which he will present his case to the court on Abigail's false reasoning for her accusations. Seeing the risk he must take for only a chance at saving his wife John decides he must sacrifice his self pride and come out with the truth the events that followed up to that moment,”Abby’ll charge lechery on you, Mr. proctor! John Proctor's court hearing ultimately ended not in his favor. Despite Proctor's confession to his own actions it was still not enough to win the court over. A mixture of other unexpected factors came into play that tilted the outcome.
