"The Case For Internet Surveillance
Internet is a touchy subject in today’s modern times. It has been discussed on serious places like the CNN and Fox but it has also been used as jokes for comedy’s like South Park. Weather or not any form of government should monitor our internet content is the discussion of debate. Citizens have the right to privacy and the government shouldn’t be allowed to break that right. However, government supervision can keep and make the world a safer place. There isn’t one side to this argument. There should be a balance between freedoms/privacy and surveillance about what’s happening on the internet.

People like to feel safe. They like to know that they don’t have to worry about being shot or harmed when they walk out the door. Internet surveillance helps to an extent. Too much surveillance and supervision is bad though. It keeps people paranoid and makes them think that every move they do or question they look up will be watched. Internet surveillance is bad because it’s there forever. When the government is looking at what its citizens research it saves every click that happens. That data is there forever and can be obtained by anyone which id the wrong person has that much information, bad things can happen. If the government never monitors the internet in the first place than nothing can be saved (Buren). An example of saved information coming back to hurt the person is Ken Bone. Ken Bone was a funny looking man who was seen at a Trump speech. He went viral after that. People decided to looked at and hacked into his Reddit account and found all skirts of weird and inappropriate videos and post. Now his life is probably affect extremely and ruined because he went to a Trump campaign. If the government hadn’t saved everything the man did then obtaining his private account wouldn’t have been so easy. Apart from affecting everyone too much surveillance will affect people’s lives personally. People won’t have as meaningful of conversations over the internet or social media because they’ll be afraid of people
