Interview Reflection To begin with, I developed countless opinions about Automotive Calibrating amid and after the interview with my mentor, Jeremy Bird. Without delay, the first opinion I developed was in relation to the manner Jeremy became an Automotive Calibrator. Jeremy was introduced into this profession by calibrating his own Buick Grand National and installing different chiptunes into his Grand National. Jeremy then realized that despite his research and efforts to purchase a well developed chip, he would never find what he needed. Consequently, Jeremy decided to make a difference and actually purchased a laptop and software required to calibrate the chips. Moreover, anyone can achieve a goal by actually committing and focusing on it, as long as they honestly feel the need to make a difference, and be determined. Furthermore, the second opinion I developed was based upon how jeremy was introduced into the automotive industry. Jeremy caught me by surprise when he explained to me that he was not born into an automotive family. Further, he elucidated that he was introduced by his friends father who built hotrods. Jeremy fell in love watching hotrods being built, and he sooner than later began working in his friend’s father’s shop. As effect, this evoked his career in the automotive industry, which he then many years later attended college for automotive technology at Wyotech. Immediately, I substantiated that no one has to be born into this career and surrounded by it to be a well developed professional as a technician and as an automotive calibrator. At the same time, it also resonated with me personally. Henceforth, I was not born into the automotive industry and I never grew up around it, so it was interesting that he and I never grew up around that environment, but also share such a passion for the the industry.
