I believe the thesis pulled directly from the article is this, "Both the iPad and Kindle offer a reasonably pleasant digital reading experience: however, they vary substantially in terms of their overall capabilities." (Ingram, Laudato, and Volpe, 2016, pg. 187) The article goes into detail about how the iPad and Kindle vary based on capabilities and how each would best suit a consumer. I believe the details of this article fully support the thesis as each device is described thoroughly through comparing and contrasting. Even I was informed on the specifications of each of these devices as I read despite already having prior knowledge on both. On page 188 of Write Now, Second Edition, the article states "Similar to the Kindle Paperwhite, the Apple iPad Mini is quite nice to hold, although at 12 ounces it feels slightly heavier than the Kindle." The conclusion wraps up the article well in my opinion because it makes you think about your own opinion of the article's topic. It provides the scenario in which a consumer would get the most out of each device.
