Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." This means if you tell someone something they will forget, but if you get them connected or involve they will learn. This is the best way children can learn by getting them involved. Also, when it is connected to their real world or their experience they feel more motivated to learn. At the same time, the child will remember it for lifelong. There are so many ways a child can learn instead of giving them a test. The article, “Exploring The Use of the iPad for literacy Learning,” is a great article for teachers to learn how to help students for literacy by using assistive technology such as iPad. As an elementary school Teacher, from this article, I learned how the use of iPad could enhance the literacy skills. I never used the Doodle Buddy app or poppet app but I have used iBook app, which I am familiar with. From this article, it was my first time getting introduced to Doodle Buddy and Poppet. I think it is very important for teachers to know useful or helpful apps for students. Also, as the article stated, the teacher should select appropriate activity types and assessments before making the final selection about which tool or apps to use. In my class, we do not use iPad for struggling students but after reading this article I learned lots of apps, which can help the struggling students in my classroom. In the future, I want to use iPad for Doodle buddy app for paragraph writing and for the independent reading time I would like to give all my students iBook
