The most distinguishable feature in the new design of the iPhone 6 is that it is much bigger than the 5s. The screen of the iPhone 5s is 4 inches while the screen on the 6 is 4.7 inches, almost a whole inch larger! The larger screen has, however, made the weight increase significantly with the new design: the iPhone 5s weighing around 112 grams and the iPhone 6 weighing almost 130 grams. This can be a con for some buyers because if someone prefers a lighter smartphone then he or she may prefer the 5s. Although the weight increased, Apple has managed to make the iPhone 6 even thinner, at 6.9 millimeters, than the iPhone 5s at 7.6 millimeters. This is a great accomplishment for Apple considering the iPhone 5s was already made thinner than the 4s, which is 9.3 millimeters thick. Going all the way from 9.3 millimeters to 6.9 millimeters is amazing considering all the new software you are putting into each new phone. Therefore, if thickness is more of a concern than weight, then the iPhone 6 is probably a better choice. This feature may be a more important factor for someone who does a lot of work on his or her phone or needs room for a lot of pictures or applications. The iPhone 5s only has two options for storage, 16 gigabytes and 32 gigabytes; on the other hand, the iPhone 6 has three options, 16 gigabytes, 64 gigabytes, and 128 gigabytes. Apple did away with the 32 gigabytes option with the release of the iPhone 6 and added the new 128 gigabytes option. Before the release of the iPhone 6, there was also a 64 gigabytes option for the 5s but that was also done away with in the new release. While it is great that there is now a much bigger storage option, 32 gigabytes may not be near enough storage for some people which would force them to opt for the iPhone 6, costing them more money. Consequently, no longer having the option of 64 gigabytes with the iPhone 5s could be a disappointment for some who are not fond of other aspects of the iPhone 6.
