The marvel superhero Iron Man has inspired the United States to create a real life version. America has made great leaps in the development of this exoskeleton in the past years. The Iron Man will greatly affect the world we know today. The exoskeleton would affect the military, the medical field, and the job industry.
Obama let it slip that the government is in the process of making and completing an Iron Man exoskeleton. This invention is not as big of a deal as the public is making it out to be. The process of making this prototype has been in the works for many years, as early as the 1960’s. If the government is eventually able to complete a successful model of this exoskeleton, it will affect many aspects in the lives of Americans. The largest area that the Iron Man prototype will affect is the military. Then the police force and medical field, and lastly jobs.
To begin, the Iron Man prototype will most likely affect military training techniques.

When an individual has a paralyzed limb, they cannot use it to do anything. That limb is completely useless to the person. An exoskeleton could possibly help the paralyzed individual regain use of their limb again. Agata Blaszczak-Boxe in “Bionic Exoskeleton Could Help Paralyzed Patients Walk” explains an exoskeleton called “Hybrid Assistive Limb” or HAL that was created in Japan to help patients with paralyzed limbs. The skeleton under the Iron Man can move even if its wearer isn't able to move their limbs on their own. The HAL works by picking up faint brain signals through sensors on the patient's skin that tell the HAL to move. The HAL allows paralysis patients to gain at least a portion of their mobility back. The exoskeleton used to create the hybrid limbs are very similar to those that make the base of the Iron Man. The exoskeleton underneath the Iron Man will be very beneficial to the medical
