Nothing was more successful as the steel industry that Andrew Carnegie introduced. Andrew Carnegie is known as being a “hero” to many people during this time of period. Carnegie has courage, concern for others, and charisma.

Karl Marx once wrote, “History calls those men the greatest who have ennobled themselves by working for the common good.” By all accounts, a hero is someone who not only has a positive impact on their community, but also consistently demonstrates their own selflessness, morality, compassion, and generosity. Was Andrew Carnegie one of these great, heroic men? This was done through Carnegie’s gifts because he gave money to help many causes like education, religion, and other charities, ”The Gospel of Wealth” he believed that rich people are superior to all classes so they should use their money to help lessen or poor people and Carnegie helped his hometown.

In my opinion, Andrew Carnegie should be deemed as a hero. Sure, he did some things that people frowned upon. But, he also accomplished things that made his communities education better and stronger, but he made his community all around better. To do this, he did things such as provide local libraries for people and students, He claimed that it was disgraceful to die a rich man and give money away to your children, also his total giving overall was 350,695,653 dollars. Carnegie should be seen as a hero because of his good deeds, and providing of libraries to better the community’s education.
Carnegie was not a hero, because a hero does a deed selflessly, but he thought a lot about himself. 184,400,000 dollars was spent on big-name corporations and associations that would honor him by naming a meaningful belonging after him (Doc C). Carnegie was a man who wanted to feed his ego but should have donated money to help the community, not make himself known. Andrew Carnegie was not a true hero. He helped America tremendously with donations to public spaces such as donations of church organs and free public libraries where he constructed 2811 of them. Words cannot describe how many people he’s helped with these donations some of which like the public libraries, we can still see today. These libraries provided free education and helped so many people learn.
